I think my spokes may be too long? Can't seem to get the nipples all the way in the hole or proper tension. Pretty sure it's laced right...? I used the calc online and dt swiss and got the same 288 (14mm nippes) Gran compe 36h to mavic open pro. dt swiss comp spokes anyone able to advise? Maybe i just need to spend more time on it. Should there be thread showing on the spokes once tight?

had the same thing happen to me. luckily i changed the lacing pattern and it worked itself out. or use longer/shorter nipples....
