Shame on me? Really? ha.

• #153
I thin no. I have made a special Thread for you called 'What should I buy?'. Ask me there.
-
• #154
So in order to avoid starting new threads you have taken the logical action of starting a 'special' new thread for me.
Wow, you dont work for the central bank do you?
-
• #155
Not for you, for everyone. Inspired by you and others like you. A place for new 'what should I buy?' threads to be merged into.
Paging hippy!!

Try to find the search window. It'll have a little picture of a magnifying glass next to it.
Found it?
Good.
Type something into it. Like 'chain'
Click the little magnifying glass button.
From the list of results, open the relavent threads and read them.

.....or just bypass the whole forum and its years of existance, and start a new thread.
Whatever works for you.

• #163
to be fair the word 'SEARCH' isnt on the little box

Thats why I mentioned the little magnifying glass.
-

It should also be pointed out, that you will likely need to click inside the little window. Before you can type into it.

Yes, i've read this thread, and others on the case that i searched for, but was unsure regarding the chainring etc I have.
I was hoping to find the answer to my specific problem regarding the chainring and sprocket i have, hence the info i provided, i wished to do this now so i could order as i sit in work and thus have my new chain and new build completed as soon as possible, but no worries, i will wait until i get home and can check the markings on my chainring and sprocket. I figured a kind soul may have recently ordered a chain for a dura-ace freewheel / sprocket recently and would know the simple answer. Sorry, how foolish of me.
I hope you feel all warm and fuzzy inside having provided me with such an intelligent and witty retort to my clearly foolish question, you have certainly stamped your authority. Well done, have a gold star hombre.

The question was a good one. But it did'nt warrant a new thread.
Your chainset is 3/32, but your DA sprocket is, quite likely, 1/8". In which case you will need to go with a 1/8" chain.
Plenty of options, but for a decent quality at a decent price, I'd go with a KMC K710. Or the K710SL if you want to save a little weight.

There is 3/32 version of the DA sprocket though. If this is the one you have, I'd recomend going 3/32". This chain dinemsion is just as strong, but has a little more sideways flex. Making it more resiliant to less than perfect chainline.
http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/kmc-z610hx-1-2-inch-x-3-32-inch-silver-chain-for-single-and-3-speeds-prod13478/?src=froogleYou need to find out the thickness of your sprocket before making a decision.

Perfect info, thats great, many thanks man.

By the way, sorry, i assume you mean 1/8 not 1/18?
Just to be clear.
This is a troll, not a gibbon.
If you are not a troll, OP, use the Any Question Answered or some thread like that. Shame on you for starting a thread asking what chain to buy... Oh noes, I just bit.
