whilst cav doesn't have the strength of hushovd or gilbert to overhaul on the hills and a knack for getting intermediate points. cav still has bags of talent and a team that gave 150% pulling the chasing group along today.
consider also that we hear cav just after the stage finish when feelings are raw / adrenalin is high. he does talk bollocks somtimes but he is a class sprinter among greats. on flat stages rival teams need ever trick in the book to unhinge the HTC train, and upset their gameplan.
garmin-cervelo and omega-pharma-lotto look well drilled on this tour, but it is HTC that set the standard for the sprint wins, I reckon. if cav makes it to paris he will be in the mix again.
