yeah tyres are huge as struggled to find anything that wasn't amberwalled in 27" the gator's are 27 1 & 1/4 (about 32-35c). Though TBH narrower tyres might not help as rims are virtually touring rims (about 19mm between the walls) and would just not sit right. With skinnier wheels & tyres the bike does look very different in proportion.
