From Andy P's teasing words from last night I was expecting puncture hell (a la the epic). 2 in a night isn't that bad at all.

On a tyre question: I used to use armadillo's on my bob, but the nelson doesn't have adequate clearance. Is there something similar in a 23? (dillo is 25/23 crazy size)? Or am I without puncture protection (I hate changing tyres in public).

Damo, I hate punctures too, so I use either Maxxis Refuse (cheap) or Conti 4Seasons (not so cheap). Both have done me proud.
