What a way to introduce yourself to a forum!
That kind of incident would have stopped a lesser man!

50/14 is no lesser man.
The world isn't the same without him.

What is half a brake?
a bra!
all women should be banned from riding without bras!
That's three fifths of a brake you muppet.
Murtle, if you correct something that you've double-posted, try correcting both posts or delete one next time. :)

If you can't hold a straight line whilst effectively slowing down and stopping then you are a hipster prick.

What if your bars are curved?
-

Why is it some people stick out, wave and waggle their bum around when slowing down like a mad rabid fat duck. Is it to try and make sure everyone knows theyre riding fixed? Its almost as embarrassing to watch as someone trying to do a trackstand but slowly creeping towards the line of traffic, inches from death, before sprinting off because theyre falling over even though its still unsafe to do so........why oh why oh why oh why?

I use my legs to stop or slow down these days, and thinking of taking the brakes off whilst changing the bar tape.
Is it illegal? dangerous? Discuss........S

in an emergency, if you still only brake with your legs, yes. otherwise, id stick to brakes.
plus in london you cannot be prepared for the actions of everyone else on the road, so i leave mine on. i dont care about what it looks like, i like not dying -

No brakes and a freewheel are in this season. They do this in SF already.
Merge!

It's not illegal to change the bar tape in the UK, by the way, but it cannot be white if you don't leave in the South East.

Nowt like getting an old thread out of the woodwork for us young cyclists, who dont have the age and grace to know all the answers. :-) I'll divert my post.
