There's also a chance I won't be there as there's a possibility of work rearing it's ugly mug

I don't believe that's even possible.

I wont be there this week for endurance stuff. Last week didnt seem to work too badly without coaching, even if it was only till 11am. But its a shame theres no 'proper' coach as it used to be an excellent session last year and the year before.
Thanks for the whistle/bell ringing/training last week, btw, Rob. -

It's entirely possible for riders to sort their own exercises out, but we haven't really been having the numbers like we used to.
Partly for selfish reasons (it's the only day I get to train properly on the track all week) but mainly for practical reasons, I can't coach the endurance sessions as well as ride and coach the sprint sessions. Despite asking, none of the other volunteer coaches have stepped up for sundays.

Hmm, I'll be down this week. I've been to plenty of uncoached sessions that seem to work, it all depends on numbers which at best I've seen 8-10 people this year.
I guess it's why there's no endurance coaching anymore?

It's mainly because they are doing road racing on sundays.

I should be along this sunday.
It's the first weekend i've had free in many weeks, and sunday is looking like the safer bet, weather wise.
Hopefully there will be enough people to do some proper exercises!

I quite like the excercises that suit smaller groups. It's only the warm up/down drills that are a bit more difficult.

Good session today... The weather was stunning.
The continuous flying 200 drill was so painful though! -

Was a little too hot for my liking. I didn't realise just how much sun I was getting, I'm now suffering from lobster legs...

Yeah that was a good session, the heat drains me though. Especially when fnucking crows eat my sesamee snaps!

I liked the way they even removed the snaps from the packaging.

I for one welcome our new corvid overlords.

Are you still pushing the 'sprinters ate your snacks' theory?
In other not so interesting, animals eating packaged food news: A fox ate most of my bread delivery last Wednesday.

Better that than your baby.

Better that than your baby.
The baby mauling fox thing earlier this year happened on my street, could be the same fox.
-
• #195
Maybe it was actually the same crow.

I just got back from lunch with a friend who said she was kept up all night by a fox and a crow fighting in the street.

What a strange mornings training. Burning hot beautiful morning, last Sunday the tracks open for months, yet only 4 people training. The last thing I did before saying goodbye to the old track is to ride round clockwise. That wad pretty weird too!
Sprint group will be minus 1 this sunday as I will be on the boards.
This will mean sunday will be sunny with no wind at HH.
