Which council ward are you in? Do they have an online pest control reporter?
Are you inadvertently feeding them? I'm sure your world is clean and tidy but we were baffled by a sudden infestation earlier in the month until we realised that we had several bags of bird food under the sink which they were having a proper party with.
Have you mentioned it to your neighbours? Are they inadvertently feeding them?
Have you found how they're accessing your place? If you're in a flat they may be coming through the buildings drain stacks. Your builder may not have drilled a small enough hole for your waste pipes. Stuff wire wool in these gaps. Mice think wire wool is kryptonite.
