I'm now signed up, (with application to team LFGSS pending).
I think the aim now is to get as many people on board as possible and to surprise ourselves by our individual and collective mileages.
Equating these self-policed distances to tonnes of carbondioxide, trees or fairycakes is inevitably flawed but it does provide a handle on otherwise essentially intangible benefits.
