My gears fairly high (48x18) and I do sprint up hills! I don't want mega muscles just a little definition and less wobble would be nice :)
I guess last resort is weights, but surely there's more important things in life to worry about. You probably do have fairly toned legs, ^^^but pictures like the above make you feel inadequate.
