Ok, first person to find me some non-spazzy looking not too expensive cycle shoes that are compatible with my Time ATAC Aliums I'll give a prize to. Size UK 40 and I usually wear Vans/Cons. Bored stiff of buying bike bits and having no girls in Birmingham to discuss this stuff with!!
Chrome Kursk Pros sound good -

Are the AM45's replacements for Shimano DX shoes? My's DX's are getting a bit long in the tooth now and will need replacing shortly

For flat bars? I have some combo V-brake levers and shifters off my old MTB kicking about if they're any use? 8 speed I believe.

WANTED
Does anybody have 8 or 9 speed indexed shifters please? Preferably Shimano.did they make 9 speed indexed downtube shifters?
i thought everything had gone to sti's/ergo's by then.either way, good luck with the search. have you spaced out the giant frame to 130mm then?
-
• #2045
God knows, gears are not my thing. I just need shifters and I need 'em NOW!
It is 130mm already but is being set to 135mm to take my touring wheels.
-
• #2046
I have in my box of shite 2 x brake/gear 8 Speed Shitmano combis suitable for drop bars, foc, any good? Think there is a mech lurking as well in there.
-
• #2047
i think 135mm is only for mountain bike wheels - are you running a mountain derailleur?
if you are then i think it will be difficult to get indexed downtube shifters for it, as mountain bike shifters have been mounted on the bars for a long time now.
sorry i'm not helping!
-
• #2048
also, if mothergirl doesn't take those shifters i might be interested depending on price/groupset!
-
• #2049
Shimano Deore touring wheels. I have two derailleurs (different ranges) to see which works best. The original groupset is Shimano 105. In theory should work fine. I think.

try them out..doing fa anyway, if they don't work pass them on..simples.
Nah I meant the mens sizes come up bigger so I won't be a 40 in them I don't think. Can try a few on tomo though I spose.
I wanna go clipless Matt. Vans are sooooo hip right now.
