Who won then?
As much as I like Equipe, it would be nice for someone else to win...
Do Polosynthese have to win twice? Or does it become winner-takes-all?

B!!!!! :D
So do I, are you guys over for the open?

I'd love it if Polosynthese won the first game in a 45-minute epic. Then had to play *again. *How exhausting must it be to play all weekend, then all day, then two massively long finals?

From what I can see that's the last winner's bracket game... Not quite there yet!

YESSSSSSSSS!!!! We're coming to the Open! Can't wait to see everyone again. We've been speculating all day on why so-and-so lost or won and wishing we could've been around for the games today.

Fair play. I don't think anyone has even come close to knocking them out since polo started over here. How are they so dominant?

• #716

Brilliant tourney, nice weather and kudos to the organisers and all, even had a vegie foodstall setup, pity thought that beers ran out on a public holiday when all shops were closed! All in all, brilliant for a first time experience, love the polo hangover from after lights off polo till 5 am at the circle and having kebabs as a daily staple. Will definately be an experience to cheerish!

Flew in late last night, home at 2am and now I'm at work today. So gutted!
Barcelona was just awesome. There were so many incredible games, because there seems to be so many great teams coming from all over Europe now. Germany rolls deep with Synthese, Toros, Clowns, Bambule, Tough Shit, Monkey Punch and Rakete. France has Hooks, Call Me Daddy, and of course MGM and DTG were over in the states so didn't play. Switzerland has the mighty L'Equipe, who seem to be raising the game of all other Swiss teams, Mouteur Fuckers plus a Basel team I can't remember the name of (plus Iron Ponies who were in the states). Spain has El Club and Los Pelos, and the Tigers from Italy did really well.
London repped well by getting most of our teams into the top 32, but then most were out after 2 or 3 games. Gutted to see Cosmic go out to El Club and then Toros, both World class teams. Well done to Dead Rappers, who played out of their skins, even after both Brendan and then Marc took mallets to the face. Best heckle (not really a heckle as it was complimentary) was 'MVPique' yelled by Chan, when John was having a blinder in the group stages. So much fun to watch. The lob pass down court from his own goal, chase and then score from his own pass was wicked.
With so many London teams having a tough time and not really playing their best polo, it was also great to watch Netto play. They were killing it all weekend, playing awesome polo and taking down some good teams.I think more London teams need to get involved, whether that means playing in the qualifying tournament in the UK, or trying your luck in the wildcard tournament. It was great to see Josh and Nick pretty much setting camp on the pick-up court, playing all day with players from all over Europe. That's gotta help your game. The Euros are where it's at!

You could have been there TS. Drunkenly heckling with Mrak and Bill. Festus and Corny were also partying hard, soaking up the 'culture'.
Final 4
Winner bracket: l'Equipe v Polosynthese
Loser bracket: Hooks v El Club
