  • Copped some fresh tuna last night. Made tempura with some, which was not entirely successful; not enough oil used/not hot enough. Pan-fried the rest. Made a tartare sauce with pre-made mayonnaise, this brand;

    It's misleading. Mayonnnaise does contain mustard, but this stuff is overpowered by it. They do a garlic flavour - this should be called mustard flavour, but instead is their regular mayonnaise. No amount of piquant ingredients could mask the mustard kick. Needed a plain, mellow base so the sharp tartare sauce ingredients could be prominent. Served with boiled potatoes.

    Not a classic dinner.
