Newspaper needs removing after an hour or so otherwise it actually starts working to keep the shoes damp.
I bought a waterproof jacket from decathlon yesterday, £29 down from £49, I sort of want it to rain so I get to test it out. On the other hand I sort of don't want it to rain to delay the disappointment when it doesn't perform as well as I hope. Sometime I will work out it's better to spend more and get decent gear than to keep buying the cheap crap that I do.
Got to love a bargain tho.
