  • I don't know mister Foffa but him not telling us to piss off might have more to do with common sense than patience.
You seem to get awfully worked up over this. Mister Foffa is free to conjure up wacky frame designs and it's entirely up to him how much he wants to sell them for, but we are free to form ouw own opinions and voice them if we see fit, and to refuse offers no matter how generous they are, without having to answer to the likes of you.
You keep accusing us of having no knowledge of design and engineering (I'm puzzled as to what it is that makes you able to tell by the way) which is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black because according to yourself, you don't know the first thing about those things yourself. I'm curious to know how much time you think went into research and development of the Foffa prototype and what degree of design and engineering skill are required to come up with an image like that. And also, why is it that our supposedly uneducated opinion isn't valid, yet your own equally uneducated opinion is? Your entire demeanor in this topic doesn't hold water.

Feel free to respond to this but try to refrain from profanity and childish insults this time around.

    This is funny ^ :)

I can assure you the only thing I'm mildly irritated about (worked up is too strong) is that people won't give the guy a chance after he's done his best to make amends.

I'm not accusing people of having no skills in design or engineering, I'm asking the question how many do and suggesting that if you don't then your opinion probably isn't that important. Beyond of course whether or not you think it looks nice. At no point have I offered anything other than a personal view on aesthetics for 1 of his bikes. I haven't said anything at all about what I think about the concept bike.

I've no idea how much time went into research and development but then neither have you. At no point have I done anything other than voice an opinion, one that doesn't like the overly negative opinion that it's in response to.

Profanity? Do you mean comments like 'sad sap' or 'Hyacinth Bucket' if so then stop being so over sensitive and silly :)

Anyway, you're trying to make this personal and it's not. My point is simply that he made mistakes, he listened to feedback and tried to remedy them. He deserves being given a chance. He's brave enough (and perhaps foolish enough considering the way some of you behave) to show some concept designs here and ask for 'constructive criticism' and the majority of what he gets back is stuff like 'it's shit' or 'what a load of wank'. It's this sort of approach that lets the forum down.
