RPM has an open invitation to help them create a new model. From what little I know about him he also has masses of experience in cycling as well as high standards and could probably do a very fine job of guiding them with a new design should he wish to.
Also to those of you slagging off what was posted as a 'concept' bike in 'very early stages of design'. You also have an open invitation to help them create something great. That's a pretty generous offer especially for those of you who have real experience in bicycle design and engineering. I would have thought that would be a really attractive offer. If I had those skills I'd be on it like a shot. I mean imagine a bike you helped inspire rolling off the production line before rolling around London.
Then of course there are the sad saps who know nothing about design or engineering but are more than happy to nit-pick regardless. The Hyacinth Bucket's of the cycling world for whom nothing will ever be good enough. You have my pity :)
Well, I know very little about bicycle design and/or engineering so in your book I guess I'm one of the "sad saps".
If throwing personal insults around makes you feel big and happy then have at it. Please keep the pity to yourself though because I really don't need it.
reculver, I genuinely don't care that much whether Foffa bikes is successful or not simply because I have nothing invested in the business. However, I do applaud them for having the guts to have a go and try (particularly in the current economic climate) and wish them the best of luck with that. I really don't understand why so many of you are so bitter and twisted up about this venture. It's pretty pathetic and shows you in a really poor light.
Don't you understand that behaving this way doesn't make you look funny or clever or discerning? It just makes you look a bit cheap and bitter, which is a pity.
Why don't you design something better? I take it you know a fair bit about bicycle design and engineering?
If you ask me, recently, most of the "bitter and twisted" in this thread is coming from you, in your reaction to people expressing their opinions. Most of the people who have commented on the last few bikes have been sort of "it's a bit shit looking, I'd buy elsewhere". Dunno who you think is getting all het up about it.

Because I/we aren't bicycle designers and we aren't being paid as such, we people on an internet forum exercising our right to voice our fashion and aesthetic based/non technical/nit picking opinions.
If Foffa wants a proper opinion of his products he should pay people who have the relevant skills to do that job. Similarly if he wants to make a frame he should hire someone with the relevant skills knowledge and understanding of both technical and aesthetic aspects of cycle design because he clearly lacks most of these.
