WTF has age got to do with anything? Or how long anyone's been on the forum? The question in the OP is obviously stupid, because dogsballs asked it.
Understandably, anyone who was around in the beginning would feel some sentimentality about it, and perhaps it was a less watered down experience due to a) the smaller numbers involved, and b) the 'catchment demographic' being less affected by fixie-as-fashion than it is today; but that doesn't stop interesting new contributors surfacing every week.
Personally, I don't give a fuck about sub-1000 status*.
*it's all about sub-100.
