Nice. Love to see a frame like that brought up to date. Excellent!
Thanks, Elvis.

Started the frame transplant. Here is the start - to many frowns from the wife
Need a new seat clamp and some spacers for the rear axle before I can finish it off though. -

Where does the bear go?

Hopefully not in the potty. Occasionally on the rocking horse.

A Salsa 30.0mm Liplock clamp will fit. Got one on mine and they come in lots of nice colours. Cheap second hand on eBay sometimes.

Sorry Skinny, I forgot to get back to you - the stem is from a Bianchi Pista. I got it on the forum's classifieds a few weeks back.

I got my Poyner back (a friend flew out because it was cheaper than posting from the uk, and he needed an excuse to visit!). So happy. Needs new pedals, some new bar tape, and some air in the tyres, then a bit of adjusting, and it's good to ride again.

Right, low chance of it I know but does anyone have a tune bottom bracket tool I could borrow? A few beers in it.

Sam, am I wrong recalling you're on Mallorca/Palma de Mallorca? You should get some gears man, bombing them hills up there.. A friend of mine works in a hotel there, got himself a Cannondale last year, full Shimano 105 (triple) from one of the big rental companies.. I believe he paid something like 350 euro's.. Peel of the rental stickers and you're good to go!

Quality.
Be careful on getting cable tension correct.
Ran mine last night and it slipped out of 65% while under load.
Had to tighten the adjuster to sort.
Hope it's not damaged.

And with that I mean he bought it from one of the big rental companies.. I am not suggesting renting one for a day under a fake name and then peel of the rental stickers to do some communist "reclaiming from the wealthy" sort of thing..

ah ok - good to know, i run pretty big gears so slipping would not be a good thing! will get spa cycles to fit it i think just to be sure - going to try and get it built tonight so that i can ride it out to york for the cycle fair at the weekend

Nice bicycle, that doesn't look like the UK to me though...
Thanks for the effort. Maybe the owner will pop along :)
