Yep, I did go with the Shoe Goo and it's holding up great. I need it again, in fact, after a mishap last weekend put yet another scrape in the shoe.
I'm also using it in a precautionary function; big dollop of it squeezed over the toe of the left shoe. I always unclip with my left foot and when I put my foot down while still on the saddle, I tend to be on the tip of the shoe and sometimes it can scuff the leather where it meets the sole. Now the shoe is protected by the goo and I'm a happy boy. Despite the fact that there is goo all over the shoe, it still looks as good as new unless you look closely. Top product, A+, would buy again etc. etc.
