The Tuesday 'casual' sessions at Peckham are for people who are just beginners, or who dont have time or want to play and practice three or four times a week.
I'm probably never going to be playing at a higher level but I still have fun, even "real fun" as you put it, even though I may never improve much beyond my current ability.
I posted up the original poll in this cycling forum, as this sport of polo also involves cycling, so I thought there would be potentially more interest here; bike polo is slightly more relevant in this arena than soccer, cricket, martial arts, etc.
I dont think you have to be incredibly brilliant or talented to enjoy a game.
IMHO you dont need to be the cream of the crop to get a buzz out of a sport.
If you know how to cycle a bike then running around with a mallet isnt much further skill to develop to enjoy casual games.
If your simple answer to the original question is "I'm just not interested", or you want to spend your time doing other things, thats fair enough, I suggest in future you simply just dont read any thread on the topic and dont bother posting in it... problem solved!
