that asside, i've been down the fender p/j bass road since i first ever picked up a bass and yeah, they're awesome (still have my jbass in the colonies), theres also space in this world for sleightly more weapony(tail) instruments. frankly, i care more about what they sound like and how easy/fun they are to play, my spector euro may look a bit fucking chinstrappy slappity plinky plonk spankyplank to folks that have religiously played fenders since the dawn of time, but it plays like a fucking dream and knocks the spots off most fenders i've played - active emgs and a thru-neck might have something to do with that. then again i love musicmans and they're built like tanks.
