  • Used condition, my arse? It's unrideable!

I agree. Will's arse is unrideable. God knows how many of us has tried.

  • Skylark,

    This is where you fail.
Damnit is a generous and trustworthy individual and will have a lot of people vouch for his character. You have just come across as a bad trader and a large bell.
But perhaps we're all wrong and someone will be along any minute now to vouch for your character.

  • I agree. Will's arse is unrideable. God knows how many of us has tried.

    You're not doing it right.

  • Will is a him, not an it.

  • Have said all I can from my side.

Blether that makes no sense but insults people, edited for brevity

    Example:

Dammit has abused his reputation by trying to use it as the sole way of getting his way. Short of that, a shambled and completely mixed bag of arguments and reasons regarding his transaction which is devoid of any logic or sense. Yet the mob follows Dammit.

Learn to think for yourselves people!

You've confused the description of another ad. Besides, mobile photo.. alright.

Ok, I think that I can see one way in which you, Skylark, have not ripped me off.

Feb- I buy the wheels from you, they are as described
March- I do a couple of Turbo sessions on the wheels
April- weather is getting better, I put the wheels away
May- I do a quick 2,000 winter miles on the wheels, riding the brakes the whole time, and wear through the rims
    June- here we are.

I would suggest, however, that whilst someone did the 2,000 winter miles it was not me.

One question, and one question only:

How do you, Skylark, account for the condition of the rims in the pictures that I posted earlier in this thread?

  • Are you really so naive that you expect to join an existing community and mould it to your outlook?

Yes one expects a middle ground. Otherwise call the forum something else. Or make it a private club.

I noticed that you skirted round the issue of you trading and not donating to the forum instead using diversion tactics to have a go at Dammit, but by my count you have had 13 for sale threads on the forum yet have not donated a penny. This as far as I am aware is pretty bad form, especially when you comment on other people donating to the forum when they have not been a member for long. Just to stop you before you bring this up no I have not donated to the forum yet, but then I have not sold anything here and will probably be making a donation on or around my next pay day.

Why don't you ask the Mods if I've donated in the past if you think you have a point here? Why ask here if you when you aren't going to take a germ of sense onboard as it is.

Get a fucking sense of humour you knob

Thanks, maybe you could share yours. Oh I see, you already have.

  • Damnit is a generous and trustworthy individual and will have a lot of people vouch for his character.

Nope, Dammit still owes me a pint for a little courier job I did for him over two years ago... Untrustworthy, would not fetch and carry for him ever again... The twat...

  • And don't get me started on that Tiswas cunt... Foul-mouthed yob in a business suit...

  • You wouldn't hold still long enough for me to "give" you that pint Joe, you never specified it had to be beer?

  • Anyway- Skylark, the wheels, condition of, explanation, you have?

  • You are such a bunch of whinging cunts sometimes.... excecpt Scoble, who is just a plain cunt.

You bought a set of used wheels, you didn't really look at them, they turned out to be shit.
    Get over it.

  • ^ Coming from the forum's biggest (yet shortest) bedwetter, that's pretty priceless...

  • Ha! So you'll pipe up to me on the internet, but not in the real world!??!
    No change there then...

  • That's not fair, you know Joe finds it hard to see really small things anymore- he can hear you but does not know where the voice is coming from.

  • Would someone please tell the small chap with the Napoleon complex that I was merely pointing out the irony of his post? kthxbai...
    Little twat...

  • You are such a bunch of whinging cunts sometimes.... except Scoble, who is just a plain cunt.

  • You two should start an internet hard man keyboard worrior tag-team... it would be like a modern day version of Hear No Evil See No Evil.
    But shit.

  • See, Ed? You made the little man cry... You're a bad man...

  • Everyone reported.

  • always check the goods out before you hand over cash, it's what face to face buying is for. despite what some people seem to think it doesn't mean you're being tight. it's your money and in the grocer's you'll check a 30p orange out to make sure it's one you want.

if you're a decent forum trader you'll consciously encourage the buyer to check the stuff over if it's a face-to-face deal.. in someone's house everyone's got time to look at the goods but it's surprising if it's outside an office or shop how many people get something handed over and don't even check. being able to be happy with the goods before handing the cash over is why i personally prefer selling stuff on here to London buyers, especially if it's something big. I want someone to confirm they're happy cos I don't want to be sorting it out later if I can avoid it.

  • ^^ nerged

  • it's moot but i think four months is really too long to come back and kick up any kind of fuss Neil.. i wouldn't have even seen the mileage in contacting the seller to be honest. i know that you feel cheated and it's not that anyone who knows you for the decent geezer you are doesn't believe you but after four months it's just moot. you know enough about bike stuff to be able to ascertain obvious things like this at the point of sale. it's moot really.

I think the wheelsets i've seen skylark put up weren't priced right too, but i also see him fighting his corner fairly with the fact that after four months he doesn't have to answer for the condition these ones are now in. four months is more than enough time to fuck perfectly usable wheels up, even if you didn't.. it's moot.

after four months most people would be pretty pissed off if someone came back to argue about a sale then kicked their name around. but then again some people wouldn't sell a pair of wheels like that for three figures. i dunno.. it's all MOOT I tells ya, MOOT...!

  • I agree with you Phill, it was a long time.

I'm posting here more to warn other people off the chap- because he's just going to do it again, and if someone else is as stupid as me and does not check, they'll be in the same situation.

I'm never going to see a penny from Skylark- and didn't really expect to.

He'd have to have some integrity for that to happen.

  • fair enough, the actual transaction is as little of my business as anyone else's. i mainly wanted to say that shit about actively encouraging buyers to check they're happy with goods when the money's getting handed over, if you believe in the fairness of your sale it's a good thing to do.

  • Absolutely, I'm just glad that Harry had the brains to do so.

I'm still mortified about the whole situation with regards to his part in it- that of innocent victim, potentially.
