crapstix. nipped to my lbs at lunch to put the headset on and wind in the bb cups only to find the short chainstays on the MKM mean that my cranks don't fit with the big chunky ring... pooo - i hate when that happens
so now -
different cranks?
different ring?
spacers to fill out the chainline
something else?
This is how frame builders do it.
A good whack with a hammer on the chainstay. a round piece of steel laying on the stay may be useful. And a frame alignment tool to check the frame afterwards, too.
Or deform it with a (hand) press if that's available.
You just need a steel frame, a good hammer and some guts, really. No 753 or similar tubing though.
