Basically we are all mostly sometimes nice really, when not being cunts.
OTP thread is a good place to start, remember bike shops will push the brands they stock and never start a debate on helmets, headphones or leg shaving. Oh and if someone has a different opinion to you and it is just that, an opinion, flame the fuck out of them for being wrong.
I would recomend reading the first couple of pages of this thread as I find it quite a balanced debate on being a tosser vs being nice, eventually it degenerates into a bitching and moaning fest which is also not uncommon: http://www.lfgss.com/thread53035.html
