yeh that's what I was looking at. The surly does "look" a little tougher though. Also the blurb about disc specific racks bending the drop outs does worry me. And having a kid on the back does put a lot of stress on the rear rack.
tester you have a pompetamine yeh? what is the tyre clearance like? I'd like to put something a bit bigger than I have on at the moment (32's I think) and maybe go tubeless. The karate monkey will do this easy but the pomp looks a bit tight.
