You sold me wheels that turned out to be substantially different from the way you described them.
Once that was pointed out to you your reaction was to deny it and say it was my fault.
Substantially different? And it took you 4 months to find out about the Substantial Difference?

• #1478
Skylark, you said;
it turn out it wasn't a good tough wheelset and it was in a heavily used condition to the point of binning the rims. You are who?

Yes- I've pointed out why.
This is why I stopped PM'ing you, as you just ignored what I had to say.
I don't think we are going to resolve this, so I'm cutting my losses and warning other people about you- hence posting in this thread.
By that token people should be aware that I listed something badly, something for which I apologise and will make sure that in future I inspect anything I list very closely to avoid this happening again.

Here is my PM to you which I replied to you in all fairness. Looks you've ignored what I had to say.
Dammit
That was almost four months ago, you should've said something sooner.
Anyway, I can't account for what Harry told you. I will recap what I know as they were my wheels and dear to me.
The wheels were used with some wear but in good condition. I did mention they were in used condition but still had ample life in them. I did mention the hubs as being smooth which they were. In all, the wheels were absolutely fine.
Please elaborate what you mean by "resistance". You have resistance when spinning a wheel hub which can be due seals or fresh grease, particularly after an overhaul. This isn't the same as bad bearings. I know for sure those bearings were nicely bedded-in and very smooth. Just remove the freehub and spin the wheel to see for yourself.
The hubs on these wheels are meant to be overhauled from time to time. If you feel the bearings are bad think again. The hubs likely just need flushing and re-greasing.
What to do now?
I'm afraid I can't see how I can be of much help at this point. Particularly given the amount of time which has elapsed. I've been without the wheels during this period, and to be perfectly honest and frank with you I can't account for their history during this period.
If you had said something sooner and you weren't happy I'd have gladly bought the wheels back from you.
I'm very disappointed you'd come back to me like this complaining about these wheels like this after so long ago.
I know not how else to put this. But if you still think or feel it's my responsibility here, I have further news for you.
Regards
Skylark

Well I think the point is made given everything on here is "sold as seen". If you didn't have a grasp on your purchase from the outset the fault lies only with you. Following on from that, I would be extremely wary of new claims being made by yourself somewhere long down the line.

All you said, in that PM, and at some length, was that there was no problem, and that you'd do nothing about it.
Fine- you consider that anything you sell on this forum is "sold as seen" and that therefore there is no come back on you if you misrepresent goods, and the person who buys them does not check them before handing over the cash.
That's your perogative, equally it is your potential buyers perogative to consider that if they have any kind of issue once they have handed over their money you will deny any responsibility.
I don't know what it is that you are trying to point out here? What is it that you wanted back as a reply to your PM?
Bottom line, you lied about the condition of the wheels, made a sale out of it, now you have the cash and are happy with the situation and don't want to do anything about it.

You're an untrustworthy person to deal with. That was the point made. To cover up and mask the real issue you're then accusing me of lying.
If you had an issue, your "come back" would've been to come back to me within an appropriate amount of time. Not 4 months later.
-
• #1487
What am I covering up?
What is the real issue?

Skylark
You are digging you're hole deeper and deeper.

Yes.

^Especially seeing as Skylark seems to have done his / her normal trick of getting in to a troll-like slanging match, slagging off the forum and all the people who post here then sulking and not replying further.

@ bobbo > don't you think he'll come back with a "If the goods were substandard then I apologize, I really didn't know, I promise to try harder in the future?"
Maybe that will be the final twist....

Are these wheels still for sale?

If he genuinely didn't know, well that is embarrassing for him but he should at least have the integrity to stand up and admit his mistakes, like Dammit did. I don't really even have a problem if he still insists that the wheels were good when he sold them, that is a matter between him and Dammit. What I object to is the fact that he slags off the forum and its members then runs and hides and still continues to post, if he has such a big problem with the people who regularly post here why doesn't he just cancel his account........ Oh wait he wants to trade in the classifieds and not donate.
