I like the idea of the fendor bendor just wondering how secure it will be and not just rattle off every wonderful pot hole.

Anyone for a bulk order?
Am tempted, but it has sparked my creative spirit. I'm going to have a go at making one! If I fail I shall join you.
EDIT: Had a go at making a prototype. Needs some refining (the wraparound for the seat tube is too long, needs to be made slightly wider), but similar basic concept!

what is your website?
I work for Firebox
We've just opened a Sports and Leisure category on the site here is a link to the cycling stuff http://www.firebox.com/cycling.
We're not selling out and out cycling gear, more like fun but useful and inventive products. The Fendor Bendor might be something that the buyer thinks is good for the site. We'll see.
I've seen people using the Bicygnals but no one is wearing that Angel helmet (I did not recommend those products either!)

Michael, what material you have in mind to make it durable?
LDPE/HDPE would be good contenders as they are strong, rigid, and very durable. It would be pretty easy to buy some sheets of the stuff and get some more prototypes made up. I'll have to look up to see if the idea has been patented by these people first though!
singspeed, make it longer and flatter.
I'll make another up with a few improvements, and with better material (I grabbed what was to hand at the time - a plastic ring binder cover!)

Um... Sellotape. I was stranded a while back, and it worked, so I left it.

They've also currently got velcro fitting lights, a little bit like Knog lights that you can fit to your helmet/frame/handlebars. Swivel-mount. One Pound!
Also, the puncture repair kit with multi-tool is bargainous.

Just dragging this thread back to the Fendor Bendor product at the top of the page and on the last page.
http://www.pristinefixedgear.com/shop/wit-industries-fender-bender/
We've just received a sample of these at the office and I've tried one on my frame and I'm impressed with the quality. It fits nice and snugly onto the seatpost and between the seat stays. The material is nice and strong (not some flimsy piece of plastic that singspeed used to create his prototype) and the etched folds are well made. Just wondering if there is still some interest in this product as our buyer isn't 100% sure on how many to order. Also we haven't been quoted a price yet, but would love to know how much you think they're worth (bearing in mind that each one would cost €17.50 to buy direct from Holland on the linked site).
If someone has some experience with a Fendor Bendor and recommends one then I'd be interested
