Looks like the thieving little ballbags were out in force at the Nocturne.
Reports from Twitter of the Motorpoint car being being broken into, two bikes nicked.
Another team car window stolen and a frame taken apparently..

One of my housemates had her singlespeed stolen today sometime between 1pm and 5pm from outside Christ Church Spitalfields. The frame is bright green, a bit ratty and roughly 19" square. Not sure what it was before it got that paint, probably made of Columbus SL and has nice cutouts on the lugs. The frame is too small for 700c so has a Deore wheelset with slick tyres. It has basic black cranks, turbo saddle, wide-ish risers, long-drop tektro brake calipers and bright green charge grips to match the frame.
Unless it gets painted it should be pretty obvious - please let me know if you spot it, not just for my housemate but also for me as I built it for her kind of as a present.

hmmmm.....a sport? really?
http://wiki.hackspace.org.uk/wiki/LockpickingMight find a few culprits at their seminar today....
I doubt it, there are at least 2 members of the hackspace I know on here, and my boyfriend is a member - just because you like to pick locks doesn't make you a criminal.
-
• #6511
also - has anyone had their bike nicked through the lock being picked? seems too sophisticated for most of the bike thieves, brute force is more typical...
-
• #6512
wow, that's quite hard to say
-
• #6513
ah shit Dan, I liked that frame :*(
and you'd done a great job getting parts together for it. what was it locked with? remember you asking for a decent lock a few days back. hopefully the 'anti theft snot green' will make it not too bad to turn up -

My Charge Plug was stolen from the bike rack just behind the mayor's office today at some point between 4:30 and 5:30 pm with all sorts of people around. If anyone sees a newish dark blue one for sale at the brick lane markets tomorrow, it may be among them.
The twating fucking 'security' around there make me sick. I always get grief about where I take my bike and lock on that site. They always say we have loads of cameras and it's cool to leave it well out of sight...is it fuck.
EXACTLY how was this bike locked up? What lock? and what did they say about showing you the camera for how it was stolen?

Just a warning.... tonight 2 bikes and a set of wheels (at least) were stolen near Rio Cinema (dalston). They had cutters. The bikes were locked with wire locks. :-( Please keep an eye out and lock your bikes well. x

Hi, I just moved to London (one week ago) and got my bike stolen after only a few days... It was d-locked inside the building where I work and got stolen on thursday in Dalston close to Dalson Junction overground station.
It's an amazing Look Team Replica 96, i has a carbon frame one of the first ever produced in the 90s. Very recognizable: black with red wheels and 'Mondrian' stickers.
I'm posting this here because I had the project to turn it into a fixed gear bicycle, in order to use it for commuting to go to work. Hope to find it back because this bike was pretty unique.
If you have any clue, thanks a lot!

I feel really sad for you! My LOOK frame was sawn through on Saturday so someone could steal my girlfriend's Bianchi.
Now the insurance company are being a pain in the backside too. Steer clear of RBS Home Insurance if I were you.

This is a long shot but has anyone had a metallic white road bike with black mudguards and anodised pink bottle cage stolen recently? sorry couldn't see the make.
Just seen a little shit who lives round the corner from me riding it, was way too big for him and he seemed surprised when he road it at a curb and was catapulted over the handlebars. Basically it looked like a nice bike that had previously been looked after and this guy obviously didn't care about it makes me suspicious but I cannot go to the police unless I have good cause.
Anyway if this sounds like a bike you have had nicked pm me and I will try to give you more details.
