Good nights racing there - we had grumpetto's in 3 of the races, 2 of them forumengers.
BMMF in the folder race [don't think I've seen him in a suit before] riding faster on a folder than I do on a big wheeled bike no doubt, I'm not sure of the 'fairness' of putting drops on a folder that i saw some peeps riding :^]
and Illy more than holding his own in the support race, finishing in the main bunch the pace was absolutley bonkers!!
Nic, our grupetto in the elite race was pushing 440w!! for the first 3 laps before he got halted by the crash in front of him
Good to see Sean and Tom from the rollas riding hard in the support race, and of course the ginger wizard putting a smile on everyone's faces - you sir, are a champion!!

Awesome time, met and remet loads of forum peeps, many of whose names I have instantly forgotten or never knew.
For those to whom I never formally introduced myself, I'm the 6' 5" white haired and bearded chap hanging with the forumengers outside the Paul coffee shop near the screen, "Hi".
Too many great or interesting things happened or seen to really list, but the penny farthings, folders race, everyone commenting that the club racers were fast and then later realising that actually the club racers were fast but the pros were fucking ridiculously fast! Sadat's bike almost but not quite making it up on top of the street sign. Standing right slap by the criterium crash and managing to not get hit by flying bikes or riders. Discovering that the little shop had a fridge full of ok priced beer. Having bratwurst and saurkraut, nom. Not getting cold and basically just feeling the forum love.
Roll on next year.

BDW. You were there and I didn't see you? The shame! ;)
I was scouring the horizon for Stingers from the moment I heard you were about, but alas to no avail.
Well done with and to the Grupetto boys. Was great to see that jersey holding it's own in such an event.

Well done to the forum ladies who raced, Wiesia, Stelle, Nik, Rachel, inspiring stuff.
Thanks for all the support...was unbelievably amazing to hear cheers the whole way round! Sorry I didn't get to see many people...trying to race fast makes you a very boring person :)

I had a brilliant night. The crowd support was immense. Every time I came round the top corner of the endurance race and thought I had nothing left, the cheers and the banging on the fences gave me so much more energy than I thought possible. I was struggling for breath yet grinning like a mad woman. I loved it. I was so relieved there was no penny carnage. We all had visions of a penny pileup on that first corner. It was a shocker in the sprint as it was the first time any of us had hit it at speed. I remember seeing spectator's faces at the far end of the corner "She is not going to make it" which was fair because I am pretty sure my face was saying "I am not going to make it". But I did, and the adrenaline was something else. Massive thanks to everyone who attended and raced and cheered and made it an extraordinary experience.
My god, I am feeling it today though : )

Props to Leo for his purchase of 15 (number has changed dramatically during the evening) bags of wet cat food because "it was on offer".
It was actually me. Could not ressist the bargain. Cat is over the moon ;)

Moments before setting off Jimbilly confessed to not have ridden fixed in 3 weeks and to not having "teh brak-less" for over a year. That makes the accomplishment that much more impressive. Well done Jim!!!
Kat and Charlotte - that was a brutal looking race - chapeau to you and the rest of the ordinaries!
Lovely to run into so many peeps last night. Good times.

I have just got up.
Despite having been to The Slaughtered Lamb before I twice failed to find it last night.
A+ day on the 'swine scale of swill.

Superb day. Hillbilly charmed the media/VIP section after his stage antics and moved on to empty the Red Bull dispenser in a right and proper way as befitting a winner.
Over 700 pix taken, and personal target hit - 30.1mph on the way back on the Brompton. (with wtf style grins from the Endura support vehicle as it was in the lane next to me. great fun)
