Oh and on a side note what are you guys doing re. tools/ spares and clothing - I'm going to wear bibs with jersey and shorts over bibs. Maybe take a long sleeve for later on and a rain jacket. I might take some leg warmers also, do you think this will be enough?

It's a one night bike ride, not a week away!
I'll see what the weather is like and then underdress so I have to pedal harder to keep warm.

When it gets cold and wet I'll be glad of my leg warmers and jacket :) Besides my jacket is smaller than a pump anyway.

I have one of them, absolute boil in the bag beast.
Might take lycra leg warmers, definitely taking roubaix arm warmers. -

At least it will keep me dry!
Yeah I'll have to buy some leg/arm warmers first lol!

As you all know, I'm moving to London. Which is where this here ride be starting.
So, if you all want to cruise over to my house in a pack from Liverpool Street Station I can provide a big lunch and somewhere to hang out, and we can roll the three miles to the start point from there.
The offer is open, you're more than welcome. I think Spence was going to do that, but I guess he and I will go with the pack on this one. I am slightly concerned about being wiped-out for Monday with the new job, so may not go, but will certainly still put you guys up and wave you off at the start, at the very least. Maybe even come 20 miles out or something. Or maybe I'll do the whole thing.

Of course you'll do the whole thing Sparkes :) I'm going to be going to work on the Monday and I've got an exam on the Tuesday so hopefully a good soak in the bath and Roast dinner on the Sunday should make me feel right as rain!

Here here. And Sparky, thanks for the offer. Sounds like Col, Spence, Burman an I are all training it to LDN together on Saturday afternoon. Saaaaaffffffeeeee!

My mate has decided to have his birthday celebrations this weekend, even though it's his actual birthday the week before. Therefore I'll be missing it again, bit shit but I can't ditch him for his 30th. Waiting for confirmation but looks like I'll have a free train ticket if anyone wants to take my place.
-
• #39
If everyone's booked up already and the ticket is going spare then Kirsty would take it gratefully... Shame you'll be missing it fella.

• #40
I haven't got a train ticket yet Col, I'll take it off your hands if that's cool? Sorry Kirsty :)

Are we still ok to meet you off the train sparky? Could always go back to yours or straight to London fields I don't mind. As long as there's somewhere to eat!

A good friend of mine is a workaholic. On sunday we met up. I popped off to see my mate fit chris, who on friday night mashed his face up and knoxcked himself out bmxing. When i met gem noah caleb and dave, he had bought me this top from philip browns for being ssuch a good friend. I was actually speechless.

So who is coming with us on Saturday?
-
• #49
I'll be there about half 2, maybe before just so I can guarantee I'll get my bike on the train in time. Should we all just meet in the train station before hand?

Yeah man sounds good. Looks like Gav may come as well.
Noodles are the ultimate bars, seriously a lot of touring cyclists love them. I'd buy noodles if I wasn't spending a lot of money as it is.
