What do you lot think about these? http://www.burrobags.com/store/bike_polo_wheel_cover
Woo, I dont like these...they may well be better for less bouncing of the disk but i'm a fan of the more robust, and free signs!

They are less wheel protectors than wheel socks. I think a rigid disc with fabric over the top could give the best of both worlds.

I'm not going to buy some, I' was thinking of making them when i get this cordura.
Somebody wrote " I love meat " over my disc so i have to replace it...
I can't see how it would protect the spokes as much as a for let sign or someting similiar, unless the material was really taught. And i do really like the satisfying thud and bounce you get when you save a shot using a disc made out of a for let sign.
I saw them on the geekhouse polo bike and thought they must be good but maybe they're not.
I think the ultimate material for discs is that light weight, clear, bendy plastic stuff the french boys had, those guys really do have it sussed. -

Thom is right in a way. If we do a big push we have to think about how we're going to handle the increased numbers. If people come down and only get a game or two then they'll get bored. It's quite boisterous and we're getting a lot faster so it's hard for newbies. We've all learned together so we're quite evenly matched.

I'm keen for a sunday session. Fingers crossed we get 6 people!
It would be good to do a bit of a recruitment drive. It's great to see new faces turning up and getting involved! it would be awesome if we had 6 newish players that could have games together. It would also reduce the amount of unevenly matched games we end up playing. I think at times it's a bit frustrating for all involved when that's the case. I'd really like more girls to get involved, they seem to be dead keen then never show up, it's a shame. -

Anyone up for Sheffield? Paul & Liam? Yesterday rockked!!! Four wins, a draw against Woodies team!! And 5 nilled by Electric Cream. We placed joint 7th with Franckie De Tourney....I feel Sons of Olaf peformed way above our joint expectations :)
Not a bad idea, but surely with your mad sewing know how, you could knock yourself some up?
