Find me a dentist! Dentists?

Im dredging up an *old old *thread cause i would like some advice.

As some of you are aware, im a forrin, so i am unfamiliar with the dental ways in this country.

I think im developing a tooth ache and i want to catch it before it becomes serious. I havent been to a dentist in a few years (last time was a fortune from a private clinic in SW London). I am now Central/ East and looking for a good dentist.

And away, whats the ins/outs of NHS and private? I heard rumours that its near on impossible to go to an NHS dentist these days. Is that correct?
What is considered expensive?
