  • hi guys

i have for sale a Samsung galaxy S

I have just got it back from samsung from a screen repair so the handset itself is completely new, it has been loaded with Android 2.3.3 by samsung themselves so running completely stock.

Comes with Box, Usb Cable, Books, Screen cover still on (only got it back a few days ago) headset (used but has new ear buds)

They are going for £220-230 on ebay so ideally i would like £200 on here if any one is interested..

Ill stick it on the bay tomorrow...

  • Sorry includes a brand new sandisk micro sd 8gb

  • All you Cycling Peaks/WKO users - Training Peaks (Beta) for Android has just been announced.
You can get it from the Market now.

  • The Asus Transformer apparently has got the 3.1 update now. Might trek to the Best Buy this weekend to check one out.

  • Very good review of HTC Sensation, but the verdict is that the Galaxy S II still wears the crown.

  • The Sensation is very good, but don't forget the bootloader is locked. So if you want to run hacked android releases then you are stuffed. So the time being at least the G2 is still the one to have.

  • G2? T-Mobile G2?

  • opinion on the HTC Wildfire S, any good?

  • The original wildfire is still a great little phone for the money Ed, surely the 'S' is even better? Go for it!

  • according to the spec, it have a higher resolution screen but generally similar size.

been offer one for £100, can't says no but want to know if it's actually worth getting.

  • Really want a galaxy s2...

  • I've been playing around with ny g1 today as I think the Mrs is going to have it. Kinda decided that mynext phone has to have a keyboard.

Also I'm so going to root 2.1 onto it for her.

  • get swype, no need keyboard.

i used to have a milestone with a keyboard, but hardly ever used it after getting to grips with swype.

there are so few keyboard phones that the restriction on choice is not worth it. imo.

  • Found Galaxy S II for sale SIM free £430 down Tottenham Court Road. Tempted for a moment.

Went back and double checked they still have these @ £430 at the Laptop Outlet store south of the Carphone Warehouse number 230-something (not the address on their website).

  • Picked up a Desire S after aquiring an even better deal (£150).

Verdict - a lots more flexible than the iPhone, and I mean a lots, especially for the like of me (disabilities).

But coming from 3 years of iPhone usage, it felt extraordinary complicated, but then Apple stuff are design for people who can't tell a USB port from a floppy.

  • I really like my Desire Z... Only problem I've had is Swype has disabled itself for no apparent reason and I've had a coupla issues with emails/text messages not appearing right away, that was after I'd downloaded the 2.2.1 Android update... Desire Z will get 2.3 "before the end of June" apparently...

    The keyboard is great...

  • I'm still waiting on that update for Xperia 10. Pfft.

I've beeen using swiftkey keyboard coming up a year now. Hated Swype.

Uninstall Swype and the installer then reinstall both, it seems to be a known issue after 2.2.1 upgrades on all handsets.

  • Also, after a reboot I seem to have to change input method from swype to stock and then back to swype. Without doinf this, Swype won't work, it just gives the blue border error when you try to draw a word.

    This is on 2.3.

This has been happening to me for months now. I can't understand why it's not fixed (must be a pretty serious problem?). I've given up on Swype because not having it is less of a hassle then trying to type something without remembering and not having a keyboard.

  • Super cool app: ip webcam.

It makes an http browsable webcam out of your phone. I've punched a hole in my firewall and now I can get Tori to hit a URL and show her the cool stuff that the baby is up to. Or show her my privates, chat roulette style.

    £50 gets you the URL...

You can also use it as a skype webcam, iirc.

  • last post for now:

@edscoble, chuffed that you are digging android. Keep playing with it, it is amazing what you can do. I find new stuff all the time. I love my desire s.

  • Hippy is right, I am cursed.

New work give me an iPhone 4.

    Main button stops working.

It's now in my bottom draw with my emergency wet weather pants'n'socks
