Idiot colleague split an entire pint over my brand new raw denim jeans last night. How should I clean them? Tried freezing them overnight, but the nauseating aroma of stale beer is still there. This is my first pair of raw denim and I don't really know what to do.
Dry clean would be my shout. Also, freezing is only really any use if done for a good few days at least (make sure they're in a sealed bag, too) but it will only get rid of odour and a large spill like that is likely too much.
It's a gutting feeling, I know.
The other week I repaired a couple of crotch holes in my Edwin ED-39s, they're broken in so nicely I was glad to have use of them again. Also repaired (for the umpteenth time) my atelier la durance prescotts and gave them their maiden voyage through the washing machine, came out pretty nicely. The main problem with both these pairs though is that I've lost a chunk of weight since I bought both pairs and they're 3-4inches too big now. Still nice to have a couple of worn in selvedge working jeans though.
