Coffee Appreciation

I guess St.Ali is putting on more pressure than the leather lane shops were up until now so they've had to mix things up a little.

edit: I also rescind my previous reservations about st.ali, I went in yesterday afternoon and service couldn't have been friendlier. although they did tell me off for having a filter coffee "to go" as it came in a paper cup which wasn't conducive to preserving the integrity of their brew.

In what way? Did they explain?

IMHO if the container is inert and food-grade then it won't impart taste to the coffee, and in terms of cooling I can't imagine that it would be any different to porcelain, except that it would cool faster (but that is a good thing according to the guy I spoke to at Prufrock; the sweetness developing as the coffee cools).

Maybe they mean the lid, which I always remove from my coffee as it is harder to get the slurpy-bubbly-increasedsurfacearea thing going on when drinking through the spout/
