The Bob Dylan appreciation thread

Anyone who says Dylan isn't worth their time isn't really listening to modern popular music properly... Which makes their opinion worth jack shit... I'm not even a massive Dylan fan...

I don't "deny Dylan's talent"- truthfully I don't care or know much about him - but I'd rather not listen to his music. Musically I it just does nothing for me and lyrically... well, if I wanted to hear/read some poetry, he'd be towards the bottom of my list.

I agree with RPM that the worst thing is the fans. I get fucked by the insistence that I have to like him and if I don't then I'm a philistine. Just like Jeff Buckley: everyone tells me that he's an absolute legend who wrote brilliant, life-changing music, but I'd rather listen to turds sploshing into a toilet bowl.

I agree with TS on this.

I also agree with SP about Jeff Buckley, Tim on the other hand.....
