Not necessarily. Deda U2 was typically a bit lighter than the contemporaneous Easton SC7000 tubeset. The later GX2 Easton tubes probably allow the gap to be made up, but CAAD10s are in the same ballpark with no Scandium. All in the 1100g area for a 56cm bare frame, but then the Scandium Merckx frames are nearer to 1400g as they are built for Roubaix toughness, not weight weenie contests, so weight is no real guide.
