Barcelona is a Small city and every place is near of the court and to the other hand there is a Metro station beside the court. I make a list of cities around the Court that is interesting for the polo players in order of distance:
-Badalona this is the place.... transport (metro/subway and train)
-Barcelona ( 2km) the big city. transport (metro/subway and train)
-Mongat (5 km) chill, cheap and near the court and sea. transport (train)
-Masnou (10 km) pretty than Mongat, whit a camping and a big beach. transport (train)
-Tiana (6 km) is near of Badalona but is a 3 km of the sea. transport ( not train.)
-Premia de Mar (12 km) sea and beach. transport (train) -

I'm sleeping at that beach bar! Ooooh yeaah
I love Barcelona, but a word of caution:
I have been all over N America & Europe with the messenger crew, and been to some notorious crime spots (S E DC, Philly etc) & I can honestly say that of all the cities I have been to in Europe & N America, Barcelona is by far the worst for crime against the person that I have been to. I know it was a while ago, but when we were there with the Messenger Worlds in 97, literally every city group had at least 1 (usually more) person that was robbed of something (wallets, bags, bikes etc).

I'm lazy Jono.
About crime, true, a friend of my brother fell a sleep on the beach (afternoon) and when he woke up everything was gone..

Barcelona has many pickpockets, but most visitors thefts are clueless foreigners. There is no organized crime or murders like USA, Mexico...etc or thieves with weapons.
Most thefts are in the center of the city and on the beaches near the Barceloneta.
The tournament is indoors and the beaches near the courts are far from thieves. Badalona is a chill city, without "crime". -

Badalona is a chill city, without "crime".I wasn't suggesting that there is organised crime in Barcelona, or that visitors are likely to be murdered, or that we shouldn't go, or that we should be frightened. I was merely recounting the experiences of a number of people who could hardly be described as clueless foreigners (bicycle messengers from cities as diverse as Berlin, SF, NYC & DC). Totally anecdotal, I agree.
