Had a bizarre creaking noise appear on my bike, creaking whenever my left crank was pointing downward, only when pedalling hard. Thought it was coming from the drivetrain area, so disassembled/regreased/assembled back together BB, cranks, chain, chainring bolts, pedals etc etc. Still happening, driving me insane. Then today I finally tracked the goblin creak, it is my saddle flexing and rubbing on a seatpost clamp bolt. Only way to fix is new saddle I reckon.
