  • finally got a go on the super highways a few weekends back and whilst on the flat and level straights where there is little traffic they are great (but then, any old bit of tarmac would be), but when you get into junctions, bus stops, taxi ranks and misc. they are worse than not having one!

    The places where you really need a dedicated cycling lane is around busy bus stops/ terminuses and big busy multi directional junctions and at those points along CS7 at least, the thing strip of blue paint either runs out, or becomes meaningless.

    For confident riders its not a problem, you always expect to look out for everything all the time. But for less expereienced/ confident riders I hope they don't get too complacent with the blue paint 'protecting' them, when really it does anything but that.
