I have to disagee. Having seen most of the bottom sides, West Ham did not look nearly as poor as quite a few of the others. They had enough quality to stay up. Their problem was their manager whose tactical inadequacy did for Chelsea if not for Portsmouth. The Fink Tank in The Times had a piece recently which showed that West Ham were the most abberational side when comparing form to performance.. This was down to Grant and no one else.
