I'm also 6'2 ... trust me don't cut them down, i got some bars based on same premise, my drops are 42 sure 44 will be plenty wide, no way they were unuseable. (maybe if I were wheeling my bike down brick lane they would have been suitable, or fond of feeling t-rexual... but not for any actual riding.)
