  • any ideas on these campag levers - model / year / reference ?

    hoods aren't right i'm sure.

body is non magnetic but has the machined look of steel in dull Ti style colours. did they build any levers with Ti bodies? is it just dull allu ?

  • I have a track frame that is currently painted as a swinnerton, however i've got in touch with swinnerton cycles and they have confirmed that it isn't their frame. I thought perhaps it could be a raliegh or carlton frame but the serial number doesn't match the information i've found online.
I really hope someone can help me identify this frame.

the serial number is on the bottom bracket it reads 8372 (the 7 could be a 1) with a 5 on the opposite side.

  • Anyone? i know i might have to wait a while for an answer, but it feels like i've been waiting for ever. :(

  • Hey Yasi,
massive stab in the dark but it reminds me of Bertin frames ive seen.

  • do you know how i could go about verifying that? i will google things

  • No idea, it wasn't necessarily an educated guess but it has similar features.

    • It seems Bertin stamped their dropouts rather than BB so probably not.

I think 73 is likely to be the year.

What size is the BB? Seatpost? Headset?
I havent seen those dropouts on carlton track frames.

  • Rear spacing 120mm front 100mm and takes a 27.2 seatpost.
not sure what the bottom bracket is though, i should do.
i thought it might be a carlton but the serial number is only 4 numbers long :/

  • accidentally I bought this bicycle today:
    https://picasaweb.google.com/elperus/torpeda#
and my biggest concern is the frame.
BB threading is italian, seatpost is 26.2 mm. Seatstays are bullet shaped at their ends, dropouts are campag front and rear.it seems to be quite light tho.
there are no markings, numbers only heart cutouts in lugs.

  • The seat post looks a bit smaller than the right one, seat lug is distorted
while been loose (~1/3mm) front and back. That will allow a small movement to
seatpost that eventually wear off seat tube.
I 've seen those lugs in many bikes build with columbus SL. All of them have a 27.2 seat post.

Except its boring silver, looks like a descent road bike in good condition.

  • most definitely it's been rattlecanned.
too bad I can't keep it - not enough space.
those wheels are awesome, spinning like hell.

  • Bought this rat a few weeks ago. restoration in progress. any ideas what the frame might be.... previous owner said Carlton but not sure?

  • Looks like the Gorgeous Baby Blue Fixie resprayed in white. Did you get it from Cambridge/is it 501?

  • got it from notts. does look very much like that frame. the white paint couldnt have been much worse tbh, its going in for a nice spray job tomorrow though. 501.... what does this mean, im new to this game. the frame is pretty funky up near the seat post, make or year?

  • 501 is a type of Reynolds steel. Not as awesome as 531. You'll find this forum liberally seeded with references to frame materials.

It's probably not the same frame, but as the Gorgeous Baby Blue Fixie is fairly legendary, I thought I'd mention it. :)

  • Help please.
Sold to a friend of mine, I'm just being the Middle man, said to be (possibly) a Viking.
    I'm not so sure... anyone?
Can LCC be London Cycling Club?

  • Anyone has a clue, doesn't quite seem a colnago, or does it?
Has Campagnolo drop outs and a Cinelli bb shell!

  • Could be anything.
GRANDIS also uses a clover in their lugs.

  • I've seen Diamants (the Belgian kind) with the same lugs, I think Fruit has one like that

  • nuknow mine has same forks and similar dropouts but my serial number is completely different :(

Those are Athena levers. Body is some sort of plastic. You can find more info on Velobase.

  • Hello.
can someone help me please identify the model, or find any other information about this Cinelli frame.
    Thanks

  • can anybody tell me what sort of campag hubs these are, and what period they're from. Also the same for for the model and year of the mavic rims, The guy told me they're open pro cd's but the sticker doesn't look like an open pro. Big thanks in advance

  • chorus or c-record?

I recommend www.velobase.com (choose brand directory)

  • Chorus, I have the same hubs and researched them earlier.. And probably Mavic Open 4CD rims.. The model name is printed in yellow on the blue part of the sticker..
