The route has 3 big hill bombs, only 1 steep climb
How about reversing it and having 3 big big hill climbs, and 1 steep bomb.....?
No?
O.K.
Shame.

What's a good time for 2 laps of this route then? 13-15 mins?
I'll do a dry run this weekend to save any blushes should I enter!

How's the arm doing, not good enough to race by then?

Not sure, think it's a bit less than that. Will do a timed run later today

Not a bad idea, could do this as a qualifier depending on how many turn up, or do a special race just for REAL men (or women)

I bought the base for the trophy yesterday, going to get bike-specific prizes for 2nd and 3rd and for the lock up challenge winner. Would people be willing to part with a couple of quid each as an entry fee to cover the prizes?

sure

always busy around there so be careful kids
Hillclimb up rosehill would be awesome -

There's generally a few cars on Linden Rd, the only A road on the route, but the rest is quiet residential roads. Just gotta be careful at the Linden Rd junction.

Hillclimb up rosehill would be awesomeI've wanted to arrange a 3-part hill climb race with Rose Hill & Greenhill +1 for ages, too lazy I am though.
How's this for an idea?
The route has 3 big hill bombs, only 1 steep climb, lots of fast turns, and a tunnel. I ride it regularly as fast as I can and never encounter much traffic, but enough to make one or 2 junctions exciting. The surface is pretty sound and the scenery is great.
I'm also planning to do a lock up challenge to test how efficient you are at locking/unlocking your steed. Hopefully this will interest those who might not be willing to compete in the circuit race.
Here's a map of the route:
It would be great to have a few marshals to make sure people don't get lost or take shortcuts, so let me know if you're up for that.
I can do any date between Sunday 29th May and Sunday 5th June but would rather not do it on a polo day (Sunday/Wednesday). Let me know if you want to come but can't do certain days.
