What an awesome tourney and a great start to the national series. Thank you so much Brighton, you really pulled it out the bag. It had a special feel to it, and its definitively gonna be a regular each year for the MCR boys.
Respect to NT for the win, and proud to see our new MCR team Polo Erectus giving some of the regulars a run for their money.
Big up to Cream for non London 1st place. You deserve it guys, despite the shit we always give you.
Big love. Netto x

Thankyou to everyone that made this possible.
We had a great time. Highlights were playing on lots of different bikes until i got mine sorted. (thanks Hassan, Joe and Mat)
Playing the first game on my own, thought i was going to get trounced but couldnt just forfeit the game without trying and glad i didnt.
Favourite games were against Fen Bwoy and Cream, one after another. Great crowd participation esp from LDN and Camb! I was knackered by the end of that.
Great to see lots of new faces aswell!

Fah-Q!
Thanks Brighton for an epic day! Us Welshboys thoroughly enjoyed the whole Tourney experience - including the Skid-Bagging..:):)
Loved the support for a new team that were facing off against some really skilled, cool players! Thanks for the learning experience and we're stoked about our final position - 13TH OMFG!!
I loved it when we got a call to court over the tannoy and then crowd replied with a "Fah-Q too!" - hilarious...WE WILL BE BACK!

ps: Hooks= 1st non-london Team
Please don't take it as an insult that you weren't give a prize for this position. You played amazing polo and are world class polo players. I'm really surprised you didn't make the podium.
My reasoning for not including the french teams in the non-london positions is that you are on a level with the best teams in the world and don't need the recognition that those who have been playing for less time deserve for their efforts.
The idea of the tournament from the outset was to celebrate the newer and less experienced teams playing polo in the U.K. In the space of a year, the current Brighton players have gone from never playing before to finishing in the top 20 of a national event. I think that's worth celebrating!
Cream deserved the prize they were given and played their socks off to get to 5th place. hopefully there will be a time soon when the top 3 positions of a tournament could go to any city in the country (or the continent) but for now, I think it's worth highglighting the effort involved in catching up.

I think woods hasn't been playing as long as Cream.

#Does that mean that eating snails makes you good at polo?
Thanks to Brighton & the usual polo suspects who helped make yesterday happen.
Great to play in a different location & awesome to see the UK scene is growing - the COSMIC eye is keeping a watch on the young emerging talents!
Good to see Hooks and Broken Legs make the effort to attend - it was rad to have the opportunity to play you both too.
Well done NT for taking such an epic trophey back to London.
Looking forward to the next National Series Tourney.
