Sold to me a as a Condor; 753 tubing but no lug work to identify it as such and serial number filled in on respray (or no serial no.). Took it to HH yesterday for basic training only for it to be too wet and a couple of people to take the piss out of it :-) Should say thanks to Tommy the Brick for rebuilding the rear wheel for track use.

Much like buses, you wait for ages for a Pinarello and then two come along at once.
and then did some restoration & rust removal/prevention, saddle looks a bit nose-up in this picture but it doesn't feel that way:

Why did you change that beautiful colour scheme?
the red is gorgeous.

I much prefer the red over the original.

Not sure how to make these bigger but here are a couple of pictures of my Colnago before I got it (first pic) and now (second pic)..

You could embed them from the attachment link but as the pics are so large they'd automatically be turned into links in about 5min
Nice bike though. Prefer the saddle in the pic against the fence

Thanks for that, I tried it but the second one was huge. I'll leave it as it is for now.
That's the current saddle, thanks..

Frame has been stripped* and had its first two coats of primer. Forks are getting sandblasted tomorrow, hopefully that will give the chrome enough of a key to paint. I'm thinking about a plum/dark grey scheme.
*with some fermented super strength nitromors, it came out of the tin looking like the stuff in smokers lungs. normally I find nitromors takes a few seconds to start buring if you get it on you, this stuff burned instantly, caused me to leep to the hose a few times.

My current streamlined stable (thanks to Dammit for the stand)
rebuilt the rear wheel of the Bob Jackson yesterday after knackering it over cobbles (had been laced incorrectly anyway - valve hole between converging spokes so it was a chance to sort that out)

IMO remove the stickers from the wheels, a silver chain ring and chrome forks too match the back
Lovely bike otherwise -

Those stickers are murder to get off.

Can doesn't mean should!
Although high fives would definitely be in order if I saw someone riding something like that on the streets.
Hmmmm!!! I have heard of people that actually like the 'Spumoni' colour scheme (check out the brochure http://bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalogs/pinarello89/2.jpg ), but I do have a bit of a thing for red bicycles especially if they're Italian. And of course, plain red is a bit easier to spray than crazy four-colour ice cream bike.
Anyway, the paint work was blistering rust from underneath so she was stripped down to make sure it was nothing more serious than a hard life on the road and/or some dodgy original paint work. Columbus SLX tubing is apparently a bit on the thin side and doesn't take long to permanently damage.
