I was looking in the list of lists thread....I really want to change the pedals of my fuji classic track. The pedals are the stock ones, they look a bit like these, with 3 screws to attach the plastic pedal cage
I can't get used to them. I never used cages in my life....i cannot stick the right foot in (I start with the left)....I manage to get it done by pedalling very very slowly....but it is very annoying most of all at traffic lights where I have to do a clean fast start.
So just a few questions:
1 - does the cage really make a difference when riding? I have two brakes....i know cages and straps are useful to skid and everything. I don't plan on riding without brakes because as I said in my city if the police see me, it's very big money to pay.
2 - will another cage make it better? Maybe it will be easier to catch the new cage with the foot while pedalling?
3 - third option is just switch to normal flat pedals. I like the snafu anorexic fixie ones, I would avoid getting normal mtb / bmx pedals...i don't think they would look good on my bike but the snafu are pretty little.
