It is, really, isn't it? I suppose they know that they've made some profit already on the shoe - they only repair their own. Plus, now that I know I can get them spruced up and that they'll last an age, I'm more willing to buy from them in the future.
It's still more expensive than buying cheap £50 Asos brogues once a year, but there's something lovely about the idea that I could have these shoes for decades, even if it is a bit Ship of Theseus (sp?).
