Thank fuck the royals are just a tourist attraction and don't actually hold much responsibility that's all I can say.

Their lack of real responsibility just makes me more angry that they're a heavily subsidised tourist attraction.*

*And one that I am not convinced really brings in more tourists than we'd have in their absence. People don't go to Paris and say, "this is lovely, but I wish they had some monarchs". For one, we'd make more money out of the palaces if we got rid of the royals and turned them into museums.
