It's in the forks, not the head tube, everything else came out fine so either its more smashy or get some other forks I guess. I'll ring 'em tomorrow.
I had the same problem, so just called it quits and took my frame to the local bike shop. The had to use a vice and a f*&% off wrench from a dock yard to get it off, but it worked.
I doubt Amourtex will powdercoat if the frame isn't completely stripped. Also, you may find that some of the threads will have to be reamed, as some powdercoat stuff tends to get in there and clog the threads. This also makes me think that not completely stripping the frame would be a bad idea...
